Getting Started

Installation

Project Succession runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, and ships a Docker runner for headless execution. It is developed on macOS.

System Requirements

  • RAM: 4GB minimum, 8GB recommended
  • Storage: 500MB for application, additional space for pipelines
  • Internet Connection: Required

Installation Steps

  1. Download the installer for your platform
  2. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions
  3. Launch Project Succession from your applications menu or desktop shortcut

First Launch

When you first launch Project Succession, you’ll be prompted to:

  1. Create an Account or Sign In: Use your email address to create a new account or sign in to an existing one
  2. Verify Your Email: Check your inbox for a verification email and click the link
  3. Purchase Your License: You can subscribe to a license through the application which will lead you to a personal buying page, associated with your account.

Account Setup

Creating an Account

  1. Enter your email address
  2. Create a strong password
  3. Verify your email address through the link sent to your inbox

Signing In

If you already have an account:

  1. Enter your email and password
  2. Click “Sign In”

Licensing

Project Succession offers several license tiers:

  • Indie: For individual creators and small projects, just getting started and checking out the tool.
  • Studio: For professionals, teams and studios. Unlocks all the additional features of the application and is recommended.
  • Business: Made with pipeline and scale in mind. allows running on the CLI. This license is required for bigger studios.

Activating Your License

  1. Sign in to your account in the application
  2. Subscribe to a plan, it will be automatically assigned to your account.
  3. Your license will be automatically activated as long as you are logged into the application.

Managing Your License

Access license information and management through:

  • Menu → Help → Licensing

This opens the Licensing dialog where you can:

  • View your current license status
  • See your subscription details
  • Manage your subscription (currently just cancel. for a license upgrade, please get in touch though the Help/About menu)
  • Log out of your account
