Action Flow Control

Throttle Event

Rate-limits how many events pass through this path per second. Wire it after flood-prone triggers (e.g. Godot selection changes or per-file export events). Drop mode discards excess events; Queue mode delays them so every event eventually passes at the configured rate. Note: the throttle window resets when the graph is redeployed, and each subgraph invocation gets a fresh throttle.

Parameters

ParameterTypeRequiredDefaultDescription
Events Per Second eventsPerSecond float Yes 1 Maximum number of events allowed through per second. Values below 1.0 widen the window, e.g. 0.2 allows one event per 5 seconds. Can be set by a data connection.
Mode mode enum
  • Drop
  • Queue
Yes Drop Drop discards events that arrive faster than the rate. Queue delays them and lets every event through at the configured rate (a stopped graph still drains events that are already waiting).

Inputs

InputTypeRequiredDescription
Execute input0 object Yes An incoming execution signal. Data from the previous node is passed through when the event is allowed.

Outputs

OutputTypeIdentifierDescription
Continue output0 object <Passing input identifier> Fires when the event is within the rate limit (immediately in Drop mode, after waiting for a free slot in Queue mode), passing through any data received on the input. Throttled events do not fire this output.
